West Virginia University at Parkersburg's Division of Education is unique. One of a handful of community colleges in the country that offers certification in elementary education, WVUP has established a strong PDS relationship with 21 public schools in a six county region. The program focuses on the theoretical, developmental and technological aspects of the knowledge base that are prerequisites to the daily demands required to be a professional educator.
