Jennifer Herring, M.Ed.

Jennifer obtained her Bachelors Degree in Liberal Studies from California State University of Sacramento (CSUS), her Masters in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of the Pacific (UOP), and is currently pursuing her PhD in Curriculum & Instruction with a focus in Language, Diversity, & Literacy Studies. She works at educating, collaborating with, and coaching teachers on foundational literacy practices, Culturally Responsive Teaching, and learning to talk about race and social justice with children and each other. She has also written and adapted SEL (Social Emotional Learning) and ELA (English Language Arts) curriculum that has been adopted by schools throughout the Central Valley Region of California. As an educator who is passionate about making change towards equity in our educational systems, Jennifer values every opportunity she has to work with current and future educators.
