La Sierra University's Curriculum and Instruction Department is WASC accredited and certified through the state of California to offer teaching credentials. At La Sierra, they help create in you leadership skills, foster innovative thinking, and develop your own educational vision of changing the world, one student at a time. Their mission is to prepare individuals for exemplary service in the various fields of education so that their students may realize their fullest potential in service to God and humanity.
Their goals are to:
- Assist pre-service and in-service educational personnel in building a sound philosophy of education that reflects Christian values and ethical principles.
- Enable the student to implement basic principles of education that reflect sound theories and practices.
- Motivate investigative curiosity and a desire to participate in the advancement of knowledge.
- Help develop skills in educational research.
They shape individuals who will be catalysts for inspiration and change.
